William Beattie an attorney at Glasgow & Olsson where he practices in the areas of felony and misdemeanor criminal defense, DUI defense, traffic law, as well as civil litigation and matrimonial law. Mr. Beattie has tried over 200 criminal bench and jury trials in cases ranging from DUI and drug possession to home invasion, attempted murder and first degree murder in circuit courts throughout the state of Illinois. He has successfully litigated constitutional motions to suppress both evidence and statements under the Fourth and Fifth Amendments in both felony and misdemeanor criminal cases, as well as Petitions to Rescind Statutory Summary Suspensions in DUI cases.

Mr. Beattie has also represented clients before the Illinois Prisoner Review Board and the Illinois Secretary of State, as well as litigated civil cases involving defamation, false light invasion of privacy, breach of contract, and fraud. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Beattie was a member of the felony trial division of the Cook County Public Defender's Office in Chicago, Illinois. He has instructed and lectured in areas of trial advocacy, constitutional law, and traffic laws.
