Ruben N. Herrera

Ruben N. Herrera is committed to representing clients in County County, as well as McHenry, Lake, Kane and DuPage counties. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with Honors from DePaul University in 2016, Mr. Herrera returned to DePaul on scholarship and went on to receive a Juris Doctor with a Certificate in Criminal Law in 2019. While in law school, he served as a law clerk under Illinois Supreme Court Rule 711 with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in the Felony Trial Division and Traffic Division, gaining valuable and extensive litigation experience, prosecuting matters ranging from petty traffic tickets to misdemeanor DUI.
After passing the Illinois State Bar Exam in 2019, Mr. Herrera went on to serve as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office where he represented the People of the State of Illinois and prosecuted criminal matters ranging from minor traffic offenses to Class X felonies.
At Glasgow & Olsson, Mr. Herrera now seeks to continue his efforts as a litigator to secure the very best possible outcome for his clients. He brings to the table a notable attention to detail, meticulous research skills and a dedication to the best interests of all clients he represents. Mr. Herrera is fluent in English and Spanish language.
Mr. Herrera is fully licensed and admitted to practice law before the courts of the State of Illinois, as well as the State of Texas.
